Background
Our client is a world leader in contract catering and support services, operating for over 30 years. Their mission is to earn their guests’ trust by serving delicious, healthy and eco-friendly meals while providing excellent services at the locations of their customers. Providing wholesome meals in a number of European countries and with around 100,000 employees they serve and feed over 3 million guests every day.
The Challenge
Migrating open financial items from the client’s French system to their Italian system. This not only meant transferring complex financial postings but also enriching the original data in the target company to ensure it was compliant with Italian Tax and State regulations.
The Solution
bancon worked in partnership with EPI-USE to deliver this project using bancon’s bPostingEngine solution. Our partner EPI-USE handled the logistics of the project and the corresponding Master data within the SAP system while bancon were responsible for making sure that all relevant affected process flows and business flows worked seamlessly in terms of FI.
Despite the pandemic, bancon were able to provide on-site consulting services for the Italian business unit during the most critical phases of the project which made understanding the technical requirements of the project much easier.
The Results
bancon performed a highly successful migration within just 4 months with 100% accuracy and no defects in the data or business flows at crucial month-end closing. Furthermore, no issues were raised by the SAP-IT team as they had been involved through the project. Overall, the client was very satisfied which led to them working with bancon on an immediate follow-up project for data deletion.
